For car enthusiasts, access to retro car parts can be very limited. Usually new parts are no longer available in production, and used parts in good condition often reach sums far beyond the profitability of such an investment. Reverse engineering comes to the rescue. Thanks to restoring from photo documentation, we are able to make a model, print it and deliver the finished usable part to the customer.
CHALLENGE: Convert the heater control system grille strips from the Mercedes W113 interior equipment from the European version to the English version.
IMPLEMENTATION: Our engineering team, on the basis of the existing part in the European version, obtained a scan and then made a model and printed the missing element. The printout was made of ABS material, processed and painted. The finished element was successfully installed in the cabin of the car.
